“The mango has made an optimist of me.  After all, how bad can this world be when something this good occurs naturally?” - Diana Shaw from the book Almost Vegetarian ~G Photo credit = not mine.

Interesting.
Apparently Delta Airlines now has a policy that no Jew can fly on their airlines per an agreement/deal with Saudi Arabia.. News Source Although, given the world’s culture, this isn’t too surprising, it still is shocking in light of the fairly recent effort (in WWII) to wipe out the Jewish race. ~G P.S. It appears that this policy is part of something connected to the SkyTeam...

Simple Joys. :-)
One of my favorite-ist things to do is exercise.   Go ahead and laugh but I really do enjoy it!  For me, it’s more than staying fit and healthy (although that is a big part)… I actually find it relaxing!  When I feel stressed or overwhelmed: exercising makes me get over those feelings amazingly fast.  Probably a release of endorphins or something.. Anyway, during the summer months, L...

Life... yeah, that thing. :-)
So.. it’s been awhile since I’ve updated what I’ve been doing - mainly because I’ve been so busy trying to do it.  I don’t know how successful I’ve been, but hey!  As someone named Edward Bliss said, “Success doesn’t mean the absence of failures; it means the attainment of ultimate objectives. It means winning the war, not every battle.” ...

Strawberries!
Today we picked 103 pounds of these: , which we then processed into: 50 cups of jam and 24+ bags of frozen berries.   Needless to say, the color red is a little bit old right now! P.S. I did not take the picture.  I think the credits belong to someone working for Food Network.

lydiairene: Our church held their annual “Evening of the Arts’ this past Friday.  Over the couple weeks beforehand, my sister and I worked up this arrangement of “My Jesus, I Love Thee” and the theme “Meditation” from Massenet’s Opera Thais.  Nothing especially spectacular…but it was fun to do it together!  :)

Discovered Yesterday:
In most average shopping places (for clothes) - the articles are either: 1. Made for thin people. 2. Made for fat people. 3. If they are made for average people (like me) they are poorly made or immodest or just plain ugly. 4. Are really expensive. If I wasn’t before, I’m even more of a fan of thrift stores now!  You can actually find clothing that fits there! ~Galena (P.S. I...
