Food for Thought
”I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication,...

In which I feel ashamed at my lack of knowledge...
So, we have this printer, which I ashamedly don’t know too much about. :-/ (It’s pretty simple as I just found out, but I hadn’t even taken the time to figure that out).. Anyway, Iona wanted to know if I could do something for her and the interchange went like this:
Iona: Will you print this out for me? (giving me a coloring book open to a lady in a ballgown)
Me: Um.. Why...
Just a random tidbit..
I don’t have much to post as I spent most of the day working on different projects and jobs around the home. One of those was cutting out a dress, which maybe I’ll be able to get done this week. Regardless, I’m looking forward to working on it!

– John 13: 33 - 35 (From the sermon this morning)
So..
..yesterday, Dad and Mom went to the beach on about a 1 hour notice for a couple days. Since then, we’ve been holding down the fort and making everyone work the skin off their hands. Just kidding.. they’ve actually had it pretty good:
1. We went raspberry picking and made jam.
2. Victor took those who wanted to go, to see Cars 2.
3. Johann came over today and took almost everyone...
Thoughts from the Psalms
Our family is currently going though Psalm 119 in family worship, and last night a couple verses really stood out to me:

my eyes from looking at worthless things,
And revive me in Your way.” - Psalm 119: 36 - 37
David is speaking here in the context of drawing closer to God and what it takes to truly follow...

Scripture is a means of grace. If you’re struggling with sin, read it.
– From the sermon this morning.
Just life again.
After the surprising bout of rain this week, it’s fabulous to have two “perfect” days in a row! I’m a big fan of Vitamin D. ;-)
Yesterday, after butchering, most of us headed over to Salmon Creek and ‘ona was a real trooper on a almost futile quest of finding ducks to feed (while walking in the hot sun). She did eventually find them… but she also found a sign...
